Karl Warren Turner

Karl Warren Turner, 85, of Brockdell Mountain in Pikeville, Tennessee died November 23, 2020 with family by his side.

Karl served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War for eight years and then worked for twenty years  as crew chief of C1-24 Globe master as field engineer of air quality. He loved watching the Cincinnati Reds and reading. He lived his life for his wife and family even denying his own health issues at times. The biggest prize for his family and friends was to get an “Atta Boy” from Karl.

Preceding Karl in death was his wife, Rosalyn Rita Turner; sisters, Dolly and Ardena; brother, Ray; grandchild Amanda Turner.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter, Jennifer (Leon) Workman; sons, Chris (Paula) Turner, Cam (Christine) Turner, and Greg Turner; brother, Ken Turner; sisters, Genieve  Laninga  and Vera Hutchison; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, at Rainey-Dill Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Pikeville Funeral Home and ask for face mask and social distancing.
