Joseph Cooper Ford
Joseph Cooper Ford, 77, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, August 19, 2020 with family by his side.
While in Arkansas, he worked for a telephone company, then moved to Pikeville where he met the love of his life, Mary Ellen Roberson. Joseph served in the United States Army Infantry for over two years and later was a long distance truck driver for 35 years. He was a member of Pikeville Church of Christ and enjoyed repairing vehicles, doing carpentry work along with making furniture, and spending time with family. After retirement, he became the watchful eye and voice for his daughter Janis.
Preceding Joseph in death were his parents, JC and Doskie Alzina Cooper Ford; sister, Vanita Ann Ford.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen Roberson Ford, daughters, Christy (Troy) Trussell, Callie (Michael) Pendergrass, and Janis Ford; grandchildren, Miranda (Aaron) Worthington, Gracie and Cooper Pendergrass, Chelsey and Roman Trussell; great-grandchildren, Gunnyr and Rhett Worthington; brothers, Herbert Lee(Linda) Ford, Donald Ray (Polly) Ford; sisters, Patsy and Katherine Ford, and Barbara Murray; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, at Humble Cemetery with Bro. Tony Britt officiated.
