Community Spirit Award given in Fran Roberson’s honor

Over 100 people filled the banquet hall at the Pikeville Municipal Building on Saturday, January 18 for the annual Installation and Awards Banquet of the Pikeville-Bledsoe County Chamber of Commerce. Several of those in attendance were members of the late Fran Roberson’s family who were presented the Community Spirit Award. Many other awards were given including to John Cranwell as Chamber Person of the Year.

Fran’s life depicted the true spirit of love, care, and support for her community. Her plaque read: “Celebrating someone who has touched lives of so many through her love and generosity. Her tireless service, her boundless love and her unwavering faith inspire many. It will always have a place in our hearts as we always had a place in her heart. She will be greatly missed. If you can be one thing, be kind.”
