County Mayor vetoes budget resolution
The 2019-2020 budget resolution passed by the Bledsoe County Commission last week, which included a $500,000-plus shortfall and no property tax increase, has been vetoed by County Mayor Gregg Ridley.
Ridley said in a letter to the Commission their decision was “neither financially responsible, nor… sustainable for future generations of Bledsoe County.” The mayor added he looked forward to sitting down with the full Commission to “[offer citizens a] balanced budget.”
