Rev. Leola McClain
Rev. Leola McClain, 88, of Pikeville went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2016.
She pastored for over 55 years of her life. She was a former pastor of the Wheeler Addition Church of God. She also worked for Vaughn Chevrolet for 35 years. She was an avid gardener. She loved flowers and the outdoors. Rev. McClain was a member of several clubs and civic organizations; Home Demonstrators, Chairman of the Elderly, President and Founder of the Black Ladies Conference, East Chattanooga Region.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McClain Sr.; parents, James and Lola Bennett; and her brothers, Ed, Bobby, Varnell, and James Hector.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Ralph (Bertha) McClain, Jr., and Faye Smith; sister, Janell Brock; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
A Celebration of Leola’s life was held in the Wheeler Addition Church of God on Tuesday, February 9, at 1:00 p.m. CST. with Bishop Marlon Allers officiating. Burial will be in the Pikeville Cemetery.
