Willene Simmons, 77, of Pikeville died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Cumberland Medical Center. She was of the Christian Faith. Willene worked at Sequatchie Shirt Factory, was a waitress at Agee’s Restaurant and the owner of Simmons Drive-In and Simmons Café. She was also a cook at Wheeler Elementary School.
Willene was preceded in death by her husband, James Sampson Simmons; parents, Mark and Leona Lewis; brother, Marshall Lewis; great-grandson, Lucas Riley DeBord,.
Survivors include children, Carol (Roy) DeBord, Marie (Jimmy) Lawson, and Roger Simmons; grandchildren, Roy Clay (Sarah) DeBord Jr., James (Una) DeBord, Crystal (Mike) Podwys, and Melissa Parker; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Harley, Carson, Shawn, Landon, Perry, Sawyer, and Amelia; sister, Barbara (Cleo) Turner, Crossville; brother, Jerry (Jean) Lewis; sister-in-law Roma Lewis, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, November 14, with Rev. Ken Norris officiating. Burial was in Blackburn Cemetery.
