Nina Baker Blankenship, 69, died Monday, May 4, 2015 and Landon Blankenship, 73, died Thursday, May 7, 2015. Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship were both of Pikeville.
The Blankenships were married on November 27, 1964. They attended Wheeler Hill Church of Christ. They were members of Fall Creek Falls Community Action Group. Landon was a member of Carpenters Local Union 2490.
Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Ollie Baker; sisters, Vonda Miller and Bobbie Robinson. Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his parents, John F., Sr. and Ann Lou Blankenship; and brother, Earl Blankenship.
Survivors include their children, Penny (Scott) Blankenship Hammer of Greenback, Mark (Vickie) Blankenship of Pikeville, Michael (Andrea) Blankenship of Pikeville; grandchildren, Dylan and Dalton Hammer, Lauren (Brent) Walker Smith. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by one sister, Betty (Johnny) Blankenship, Pikeville and one brother, Hugh Baker, Pikeville. Mr. Blankenship is survived by sisters, Doris (Hubert) Davis, Pikeville and Wilma Hodges, Doyle; brothers, Johnny (Betty) Blankenship, Pikeville, Wayne (Annette) Blankenship, Pikeville, and Gary (Peggy) Blankenship, Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for the Blankenships is Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dale Barger and James Rittenberry officiating. Burial is in Blankenship Cemetery.
