Dexter Brent Selby

    Dexter Brent Selby, 64, of Crossville passed away on November 21, 2010 while at Cumberland Medical Center. He was born on October 27, 1946 in Winesap.

    After serving in the United States Air Force and Army he worked as a farmer. He liked collecting knives, arrowheads, coins, plus collecting and working on clocks. He truly enjoyed working on the farm.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Howard and Velma Lucille Burgess Selby.

    He is survived by his wife Stella Elaine Selby; sons Dirk Selby and wife Diana, Bart Selby and wife Tabetha; daughters Dee Dee Graham and husband Tim, Deone Myers and husband Luther; grandchildren Cori, Sarah, Jessie Blain, Cadin, Rachel, Chase, Zac, Shelby, Gabe, Aubrey, Dalton and Hannah; sisters, Betty June Baxter, Linda Joyce Miller and husband Lloyd, and Anita Barber and husband Earl.

    Funeral services were held November 23 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donald Bell and Lloyd Miller officiating. The Honor Guard provided full military honors and served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bart Selby, Dirk Selby, Tim Graham, Luther Myers, Blain Selby and Cadin Graham. Burial was in Akins Cemetery.

    Arrangements were made by Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Crossville.
