    Kindergarten parent orientation at Pikeville Elementary is Thursday, August 1 at 6:00 p.m. A parent or representative must attend if their child is enrolled in the program. Come meet the principal an teachers, hear about expectations and routines, student phase-in schedule, required forms, plus questions and answers. It is not necessary for students to attend. If you child did not pre-register in May, please register at the school they will be attending for Kindergarten on August 1 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.B30S31

    Come one, come all to the Pikeville Chapel AME Zion Church’s Community Get-Together on Saturday, August 3 at 11:00 a.m. Planned are hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks for free. Eat all you want for free. The church is located on East Valley Road in Pikeville. Turn east from Main Street at the Veterans Memorial onto East Valley Road and the church is on the right, just past the bridge.     The Pikeville Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at First Southern Baptist Church, 2827 Main Street, Pikeville for Big Book Study at 5:00 p.m. Mondays and 12 Steps & 12 Traditions book study at 5:00 p.m. Saturdays in the lower level of the church. Both are open AA meetings and all are welcome to attend.
