    Luminary-Frostbite VFD holding lunch fundraiser

    On the first Saturday, September 1, Luminary-Frostbite Volunteer Fire Department is holding fund raising lunch at the department located at 13002 Summer City Road in Spring City. It is held from noon until 3:00 p.m. EDT. Lunch includes one entree, two vegetables, one side item, bread, dessert and a beverage for an $8 donation. Proceeds help support the department.     Benefit ride to help with Prater’s funeral expenses

    On Saturday, September 1, a benefit ride is being held for Clayburn “Goob” Prater to help with funeral expenses.     Clothes closet at Winesap Free Will Baptist

    On Saturday, September 1 Winesap Free Will Baptist Church will open its clothes closet from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The clothes closet will be open every first and third Saturday of each month until further notice. Anyone needing clothes or who knows someone who does can come by at this time. The church will have nice clothes for work, play and dress of all sizes at no charge. The church is located on Lantana Road (Hwy. 101) at the Bledsoe-Cumberland county line.
