To complete the program children must read or listen to at least 10 books during the summer. Sign up any time and avoid the dreaded “summer slump.” As a special incentive to getting started, Kathie Britt is doing a Story Hour each Wednesday beginning June 12 at 1:00 p.m. and continue through July 24. The library will close at noon on June 6, the day of the kickoff, and reopen around 3:00 p.m. for regular library business. A special party, to be announced later, is being planned for those children who complete the summer reading program.
