    "Parents only" meeting at BCHS

    A very important “parents only” information session will be held Tuesday, August 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Bledsoe County High School auditorium to discuss internet safety. Brandon Smith, Tennessee School Safety Specialist, will be speaking. Any children in attendance will have supervised activities in the gym.     Paws and Claws donations accepted

    Paws and Claws Animal Shelter (501c3 non-profit) is now accepting donations of good items to sell at the annual 127 Yard Sale. No clothes or shoes. Call the organization at (423) 447-7297 and leave a message, someone will contact you as soon as possible.     Farmer's Market is Saturday

    On Saturday, August 12, the Farmers Market in downtown Pikeville has a variety of items for sale including produce to pack in school lunches, fresh peaches, apples, honey, flowers, eggs, herbs and handmade crafts. All items and produce are handmade or homegrown by Bledsoe County residents. B32

    Open house/back to school dance at BCMS

    Bledsoe County Middle School is holding its third annual Open House on August 15. Students have a Back-to-School Dance happening from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the gym. The night for parents begins in the school auditorium at 6:00 p.m. with an informational meeting with Principal  Chris Cagle. Parents then have the opportunity to follow their child’s daily schedule, visiting the classrooms and meeting their child’s teachers. Door prizes are going to be given away during the night.
