City gets $550k grant for new sewer plant

Pikeville and 65 other Tennessee communities were recently approved to receive a portion of $26.7 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. Fred’s shutting down, Walgreens buys patient accounts

Fred’s Pharmacy in Pikeville officially closed its doors on October 16 and patient accounts were transferred to Walgreens in Dayton after the company bought out 185 stores across the south earlier this year.     Kindergarten parent orientation at Pikeville Elementary is Thursday, August 1 at 6:00 p.m. A parent or representative must attend if their child is enrolled in the program. Come meet the principal an teachers, hear about expectations and routines, student phase-in schedule, required forms, plus questions and answers. It is not necessary for students to attend.
