State corrects City sales tax mixup

The state says they have corrected an issue where the City of Pikeville was missing out on sales tax revenue from several businesses within the city limits such as McDonald’s, according to Tennessee Department of Revenue Director of Communications Kelly Nolan Cortesi.     The public is invited to come hear about the Cherokee Indians at Red Clay Council Grounds hosted by the Bledsoe County Historical and Genealogical Society on Thursday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bledsoe County Public Library. Erin Medley, manager of Red Clay State Historic Park is the guest speaker. The program is free, the Society asked only that you be seated by 6:30 p.m. in order to not disturb the lecture.BS37
