    Easter Sunrise Service at Farmers Market

    Yard sale fundraiser for nursing home

    On Friday, April 6, the Bledsoe County Nursing Home is hosting a yard sale fundraiser to benefit activities for residents. The sale will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. in the dining room. No early birds please. Several items were donated to sell and individuals will be selling their items as well.     The 2018-2019 Election of Board members by the community for the Luminary-Frostbite Volunteer Fire Department is April 6. Voting must be done in person and will begin at 6 p.m. EDT. All members of the community are encouraged to attend and vote. You must be 18 years old or up resident, land owner or business owner inside the department’s district in order to vote. Early and absentee voting is not being allowed per County Commissioner Tim Campbell.

    Bargain Basement opening at Pikeville UMC

    The Pikeville United Methodist Women’s annual spring rummage sale has been changed to a year-long Bargain Basement sale. Beginning April 7, you can find quality clothing, household items and other miscellaneous items as they come in during the year for a very affordable price. All proceeds from the sales will be used for missions near and far. Opening hours are the first Saturday of each month and the third Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The church is located at 7 Methodist Street.

    Enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny

    Fall Creek Falls Fire Department is hosting breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the fire department, 24897 SR 30 on Saturday, April 7. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. and pictures with the Easter Bunny are at 9:30 a.m. An Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny starts at 10:00 a.m. On the menu are scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fruit, hashbrown potatoes, bacon, sausage, fried bologna, country ham, coffee, milk, orange juice for $6 per plate.
