Fleeing federal suspect struck police cruiser, still on loose

A high speed chase by the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department led to damage to a police cruiser and a federal fugitive evading arrest.     Big country breakfast at Veterans Hall

    Members of American Legion Post 66 and VFW Post 5033 will have a big country breakfast Saturday, February 10 from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Hall in Pikeville.     Sign-up for youth baseball and softball

    Registration for the Bledsoe County Youth Baseball and Softball is being held February 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ballpark.     Chili Cook-off at Luminary-Frostbite Fire Dept.

    On Saturday, February 10, the Luminary-Frostbite Volunteer Fire Department, located at 13002 Summer City Road in Spring City, is hosting a Chili Cook-off from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST. There is a $5 entry fee for the chili cookers, and $7 fee per person for all you can eat diners. Trophies are to be awarded for first and second place winners. Diners can choose the winners by scoring the cookers’ chili. Proceeds raised help support the department and community-supporting activities. Everyone is invited.BS6
