    The Bledsoe County Republican Party is having its annual Christmas party on Friday evening, December 7 at the Bledsoe County Senior Citizens Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. All Bledsoe County Republicans are urged to come fellowship as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Please bring a covered dish and/or a dessert. Ham and turkey are provided. Donations for the Sheriff’s Department Toys for Tots program are being accepted. Please bring an unwrapped toy for a child, ages newborn to 2 years old. Donations for the area Food Bank are going to be accepted too. Needed are toiletry items such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toilet paper and more.

    Second Chance Pet Group volunteers are waiting for calls on its spay and neuter help line. The Pikeville and Dunlap scheduling procedures have changed. Call 554-4442 to discuss your pet’s needs. Leave your name, phone number, best time to return your call, and what service you need. Volunteers will call you and schedule your appointments. If you are blocking private callers, they will not be able to reach you. The organization has been assisting the communities for the last seven years. B38S39
