Lusk bridge replacement expected to open in May

The replacement of a bridge labeled as structurally deficient by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) on Old State Highway 28 in the Lusk Community has been completed other than the paving portion, according to Conda Hysell with the Bledsoe County Highway Department.     Luminary-Frostbite Volunteer Fire Department’s first Saturday fundraiser lunch has been moved to Saturday, January 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. EST due to extreme cold weather. Lunch will include one meat, two vegetables, one side item (if available), bread, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. Proceeds will help support the department and community-supporting activities.
