    Bledsoe County Middle School is holding its third annual Open House on August 15. Students have a Back-to-School Dance happening from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the gym. The night for parents begins in the school auditorium at 6:00 p.m. with an informational meeting with Principal  Chris Cagle. Parents then have the opportunity to follow their child’s daily schedule, visiting the classrooms and meeting their child’s teachers. Door prizes are going to be given away during the night.

    Volunteers with the Second Chance Pet Group are waiting for your calls for spaying and neutering service. The Pikeville and Dunlap scheduling procedures have changed and the group is working with several vets. Please call 554-4442 to discuss your spay and neuter needs. Be sure to leave your name, phone number, best time of day to return your call and what services you need. If you are blocking private callers, the volunteers cannot reach you. Volunteers will try to call and get your pet scheduled. The group continues to assist the community the same as it has for the last six years. B33S34
