Phillip Gerald Linebarger, Jr.

Phillip Gerald Linebarger, Jr., 66, of Augusta, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Phillip was an electrical instrumentation engineer with the Savannah River Mission Completion in the Salt Waste Processing Facility.  He was of the Baptist faith, loved his family, and enjoyed playing with the grandkids. Phillip never met a stranger, liked working on cars, enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, traveling, and was a Tennessee Vols Fan.   

Phillip was preceded in death by his father, William Clyde Bradford; mother, Wilma Ruth Simmons Roberts; grandparents, Arthur and Ruby Simmons, Tony and Vergie Freeman; and sister, Sandra Gadd.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Kathy Linebarger; children, Heather (Joe) Flanders, Aaron Linebarger, Ashley (Dustin) Driggers, grandchildren, Addison, Anslee, and Alden Driggers, Quinn Flanders; brother, Ricky (Brenda) Linebarger; sister, Penny (Jack) Hunt; step-mother, Betty Bradford; dear friend and relative Karen (Tom) Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of Phillip’s life was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steve James officiating.  Burial was in Cagle Cemetery.
