If you looked up the definition of an humble, service-minded individual, you would find Paul Swafford’s name. At the age of 23, he began as a firefighter with the Pikeville Volunteer Fire Department and now, 47 years later, he is stepping out of his role with the department.
For the past 26 years, Paul has served the department as its chief. He has been instrumental in making sure firefighters are trained and equipped to perform their duties.
