Wanda Faye Anderson

Wanda Faye Anderson, 77, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Friday, September 22, 2023, at home.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, attending Griffith Church of Christ. She organized many bike-a-thons for St. Jude. She cooked sausage and hashbrowns for Mt. Crest Fire Hall breakfasts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working on her hiking trail and was an accomplished seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Beulah Simmons; brother, Clyde Allen Simmons; and grandson, Duane Boynton.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward “Lard” Anderson; children, Dianne (Kent) Miller of Maryville, Edward Lyn (Lisa) Anderson of Dayton, Stacey (Mike) Meloncon of Pikeville, and Andrew Anderson of Pikeville; grandchildren, Ainsley, Caden and Caroline Miller, Chase and Bailey Anderson, Dault (Patience), Riley and Kyndal Meloncon; great-grandchildren, Damion Montgomery, Trent Anderson, Paizley and Porter Meloncon; brother, Russell (Joyce) Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, September 25, at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Jeff Simmons officiating. Burial was in Anderson Cemetery.
