Rodney Keith Watson
Rodney Keith Watson, 67, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at AdventHealth Redmond following a brief illness.
Rodney was born in Pikeville, Tennessee on December 24, 1955, the son of the late James (Doyal) Watson and Cwilla Haston Watson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Watson and Jeffrey Watson; and a sister, Charlotte Watson.
He was a graduate of Bledsoe County High School Class of 1973. Prior to retirement he was a professional driver for BAH Trucking, and enjoyed camping, being outdoors and loved his grandkids who called “Pazz.”
He leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Wanda Jackson Watson; two sons, Joel Watson and his wife, Megan, and Joshua Watson and his wife, Holland; grandchildren, Jaden Watson, Tucker Johnson, and most precious fur-baby, Moe Diddly Watson; brother, Avery Watson and his wife, Tammy; sister-in-law, Connie Watson; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A service to remember Rodney Keith Watson was held Saturday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Brookshire officiating. Burial followed in Fidelle Cemetery. Pallbearers serving were grandsons, Jaden Watson, Tucker Johnson, Jordon Watson, Jackson Watson, Elijah Glass; and nephews, Mark Watson and Matthew Watson.
