James Paul Mills, Sr.

James Paul Mills, Sr., 74, of Pikeville Tennessee, died Monday, August 7, 2023.

He was a 3rd generation Well Driller, loving husband, father, and beloved grandfather. James was a hard worker, well known business owner, liked telling stories, and was an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Irene Mills; siblings, Samuel Mills, Jr., Milton Mills, Sr., and his beloved brother David Mills; and brother-in-law, Eugene Pendergrass.

Those left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Jane Mills; son, James Paul Mills, Jr. (Charbeth); daughter Jill Hawn (Tim); his treasured grandchildren, Savannah and Kaylee Mills, Timothy (Bella) and Thomas Hawn; his siblings, Judy Roberts, Anna Pendergrass, Denny Mills (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Billie Mills and Nina Mills, and daughter at heart, Jennifer Terry (Steve); a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, in the funeral home chapel with Jason Barger and Bobby Collier officiating. Burial was in the Mills Cemetery.  Those serving as pallbearers are Thomas Hawn, Andy Mills, J J Mills, Mutt Mills, Thom Mills, and Jesse Brewer.
