Alice Ann Myers Holland
Alice Ann Myers Holland, 87, of Pikeville, Tennessee died, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 with her loving family by her side.
Alice was a member of the Sequatchie Valley Church of Christ. She was a 1954 graduate of Bledsoe County High School, and worked at Dura Automotive in quality control.
Alice enjoyed sewing, which she made all the square dance outfits for Parkers Square Dance Group on the Friday night Grand Ole Opry. She also enjoyed crafting, canning, and traveling.
Preceding Alice in death was her husband of 47 years, James “Parker” Holland; parents, Jesse Herman and Gladys R. Melton Myers; daughter, Gail Denney; great-grandson, Lucas DeBord; brother, Randall Myers; son-in-law, Randy Sims;
Left behind to cherish Alice’s memories is her son, Ray (Deborah) Payne; daughters, Pam Sims, Sue Trujillo, and Diane Ables; 12 grandchildren, Randi, Shawn, Jessica, Thomas, Amanda, Danielle, Angela, Elizabeth, Sarah, Nick, Garrett, and Regan ; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine (Coy) Loveday, and Linda ( Jimmy) Milliron; son-in-law, Terry Denney; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of Alice’s life was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial was in Denney Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were Nick Trujillo, Terry Denney, Thomas Payne, Aris Fields, Shawn Malone, Casey Strader, Chris Spence, and Sean Underwood.
