Bernard Mears, 73, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Thursday, June 29, 2023.

He was of the Church of God faith, enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses, and farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Virgie Mears; and brother, James E. Mears, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Mears of Pikeville; children, Kim Cranfill, Amanda (James) Bice, Joe (Beverly) Mears, all of Pikeville, all of Pikeville and  Sonya (Bryan) Cannon of Crossville; grandchildren, Derek Cannon, Jeryd (Carly) Cannon, Dakota Bice, Logan Bice, Brittanee (Matt) Reece, and Ian Cranfill; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jaxson, Oliver, and Walker Cannon, and Leddi Reece; sisters, Flo Harvey of Pikeville, Imogene (Ed) Hughes of Pikeville, and Cassie Creasman of Dayton; brother, Ollie (Monique) Mears, Jr. of Dayton; aunt, Wilma Holt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his young son, Chance.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Taylor and Rev. Ronnie Holloway officiating. Burial will be in The Mears Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 1, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
