Jesse Earl “JE” Swafford, 83 of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away, Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

JE enjoyed farming and fishing. He worked at Taft Youth Center in the Maintenance Department for over twenty years and at Rubber Plant for several years. He attended Lusk Church of God of Prophecy.

Preceding JE in death was his wife, Wanda Faye Narramore Swafford; parents, Floyd and Crata Dunn Swafford; brothers, Harold, Curtis, Randell, Delbert, and Dewayne Swafford; sisters, Lucille Wyatt, Cenia Swafford, Gladys Hitchcox.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Danny (Buffy) Swafford, Donald Lee Swafford, Henry (Tina) Smith; daughters, Kathy (Lynn) Holland, Robin (Auggy) Smith, Bessie (Jim) McDowell, Monica (Terry) McDowell; sister, Wanda Thomas; grandchildren, Melanie Swafford, Marcy Moreno, Tasha Swafford, Dino Swafford (Selinda Bryant), Josh Ransier, Jared Swafford, Chase Clark, Hope Holland (Roxanne Chapman), Lindsay (Brandon) Ray, Mark Smith, Ashley (Michael) Smith, Shaley Taylor, Matthew (Crystal) Smith, Amber (Coty) Bracken, Bradley (Tiffany) McDowell, Dylan McDowell (Paige Mills), Tyler McDowell (Tiffany Bowman), Robert (Chasity) King; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, and 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
