C.D. Pursley

C.D. Pursley, 80, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Thursday, June 15, 2023.

He was of the Church of Christ faith. He was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a member of St. Elmo Lodge #437 F & AM, a member of the Dunlap Lodge #693 F & AM, a member of the Alhambra Shrine, a member of the Farm Bureau Board, a member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion; and a member of the Trailrider’s Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oval and Velma Pursley; and sister, Margaret Green.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Frances Knight Pursley; brothers, Jerry Pursley, Pikeville, and Arvil (Kathy) Pursley, Signal Mountain; special aunt, Bobbie Hixson; and special friend, Carolyn Oakes; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 19, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. T.A. Smith and Bro. Bobby Collier officiating. Burial was in Collier Cemetery.
