McCullough taking volleyball talent to Berea

Alexis “Lexi” McCullough had to leave her state-winning volleyball team in Colorado her senior year and move to the rural community of Bledsoe County, Tennessee, due to her father’s employment. The move has been rewarded with her being accepted to play volleyball for Berea College in Kentucky.

She said the transition from her small Colorado town to the tiny town of Pikeville was not too difficult because everyone here was so welcoming.

Lexi started volleyball in fourth grade, and she said she fell in love with the game.

“It’s my dream to play in college and one day coach it,” said Lexi. Adding she plans to get her degree in elementary education and teach first grade.
