Nelson Keener

Nelson Keener, 82, of Pikeville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 16, 2022.

He was a member of Pikeville Church of God. Nelson was very active in his church and taught Sunday school. He worked in cryogenics/ air separation for 40 years. He loved to travel, especially planning to travel, and loved spending time with his friends and family over a meal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.B. and Verna Keener; and brother, Bobby Keener.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Tara) Keener of Pikeville, and Michael (Madeline) Keener of Graysville; grandchildren, Sara, Lane, Abigail and Noah; brothers, David (Nora) Keener of Ocala, Florida and Paul (Belinda) Keener of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James Dunn and Bro. Leroy Forgey officiating. Burial was in Charlie J. Angel Cemetery.
