New extrication equipment obtained by Pikeville Volunteer Fire Department

Pikeville Volunteer Fire Department has received crucial extrication equipment to supplement the department’s existing extrication fleet.

Chief Paul Swafford, wrote the grant application, scored critical life saving equipment for the department in his recent application. The $12,500 grant by The Tennessee Highway Safety Office funded the purchase of one Holmatro Cutter, one Holmatro Gas-Powered Unit, and one section of Holmatro Core hose.
