Virginia Lee Angel Smith
Virginia Lee Angel Smith, 98, of the Cold Springs Community, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her home.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cold Springs, enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafting.
Preceding Virginia in death were her husband, Coy Lee Smith; parents, Charlie Angel and Mamie Louvenia Simmons Angel Thomas; brothers, Clyde, Joe, Wendell, Clayton, Lige, Leonard, and Homer Angel; sisters, Louvada Cox, Delphie Campbell, Orphia Blaylock, Myrtle Simmons, and Cora Mae Farmer; and great-grandson, Justin Tollett.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Gordon (Alene) Smith, Darlene (Jim) Annis, Melissa Moody, and Felecia (Jimmy) Putnam; 10 beloved grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Eston Angel; sister, Helen Johnson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 27, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Tollett and Bro. Matt Lockhart officiating. Burial was in Iron Hill Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were Jarod and Levi Coxey, Jerry Tollett, Bryson Tucker, Tanner Moody, Aaron Smith. Honorary pallbearers were David Angel and Ken Hysell.
