Robert “Gene” Frady
Robert “Gene” Frady, 72 of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away August 21, 2022, at his home.
Gene loved his family and the Lord Jesus Christ, and was of the Baptist faith. He liked gospel music, was a great bass singer, and enjoyed singing with his wife and family members. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed bass fishing tournaments, bass and deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, and loved to travel.
Gene worked at TVA and completed his Apprenticeship under the 846 Lineman Construction Crew and was a certified Electrician for many years and a member of the IBEW.
Gene graduated from the Police Academy in Nashville and worked as Bledsoe County Chief Deputy Sheriff and was a member of the 12th Judicial Drug Task Force for many years, and later he retired from the State of Tennessee TRICOR as a shift supervisor over the adult inmate crew at the Dairy.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 20-plus years, Freda Angel Frady; daughters, Lesa Regena Frady, Reva Tennille (John) Collins, Lisa Swanger George; grandchildren, Bryce, Cooper, Ahna, Christin, Rylan, Mackenzie, Hayden, Kaitee (Sammy), Mollee, and Ian; great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Jackson, and Auroa; brothers, Riley (Velma) Frady, Will (Fran) Frady, Dion (Gayle) Frady; sister, Sammie Cooley; several nieces, nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins; and a host of friends.
Preceding Gene in death were his father, Charles Otto Frady; mother, Reva Louise Walling; second momma, Lennie Lee Simmons Frady; stepfather, Alvin Walling; brothers, Charles and Harold Frady, James Walling; sister, Willene Frady Morgan; grandson (Lesa’s son), Burkley Robert Frady; aunts, Roberta Collier and Betty Trinkle.
As per Gene’s request to be cremated, the family will be having a memorial service at a later date.
