William “Bill” Leland Freeman, Jr.
William “Bill” Leland Freeman, Jr., 75, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, May 18, 2022.
He was of the Church of God faith. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War being awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He owned his own body shop for several years and was employed by Marshal Mize Ford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland Freeman, Sr. and Ruby Hancock Freeman; siblings, Della White, George Freeman, Stella Cunningham, Wilma Bolen, Barbara Ann Freeman and Ernest Lee Freeman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Freeman; sons, Wayne (Kelly) Freeman and Andy (Shirley) Freeman; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Carol (Larry) Angel of Pikeville, and Betty Brown of Whitwell; brother-in-law, L.D. Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Wesley’s Chapel Church, Lower East Valley Road, Pikeville, TN with Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 28, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Wesley’s Chapel Church, Lower East Valley Road, Pikeville, TN 37367.
