Patricia Gail Denney

Patricia Gail Denney, 64 of Pikeville, Tennessee died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.  

Gail was a 1976 graduate of Bledsoe County High School, and a member of Wheeler Hill Church of Christ. She worked for 30-plus years at the Tennessee Department of Correction.

Gail enjoyed taking care of the grandbabies, and helped start the Relay for Life and the Cancer Care Team for Bledsoe County. She took great pride in caring for her family and those in need.     

Preceding Gail in death were her father, Raymond Payne; dad, Parker Holland.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 44 years, Terry DeWayne Denney; daughters, Jessica Denney Coleman, Elizabeth (Brian) Turner; grandchildren, Elyssa Coleman, Addison, Aubrey, and Piper Turner; mother, Alice Ann Holland; brother, Ray (Deborah) Payne;  sisters, Pam (Randy) Sims; Sue Trujillo, Diane Ables; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Foye Denney; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.  

A celebration of life was held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jason Barger officiating. Burial was in Denney Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were David, Jacob, and Isaac Denney, Shawn Malone, Ray Payne, and Garrett Ables. Honorary pallbearers were Nick Trujillo and Casey Strader.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Bledsoe County Cancer Care Team.
