Virnig family expands industry to Pikeville

From a two-person shop to a 200-person shop and now expanding to Pikeville with 74 projected jobs, Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe welcomed the Virnig Manufacturing. A large crowd attended the facility’s open house Monday morning, May 16, including Governor Bill and Maria Lee.

“We are very, very grateful you (Dean and Lois Virnig) have made the decision to invest here in Tennessee, in Pikeville,” said Gov. Lee. “When we have a powerful, American family business like yours decide to create manufacturing jobs in a community like this, it’s life changing for this community. And it’s a part of what changes life across our state. It’s part of what makes Tennessee so attractive to so many people.”
