Christopher Allen Colbaugh

Christopher Allen Colbaugh, 61 of Pikeville, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord on March 21, 2022, at Memorial Hospital of Chattanooga due to a terminal illness with his family by his side.

He was born November 10, 1960, and grew up in Chattanooga. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served as an Airborne Ranger in the 82nd Airborne Battalion. He went on to serve in the 2nd Ranger Battalion. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a long-distance driver hauling hazardous chemicals until his retirement due to multiple chronic health problems.

Chris was a devoted husband and son as well as a loving father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were a source of great joy and pride.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Colbaugh, and father, Donald Colbaugh.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie Colbaugh; mother, Geri Colbaugh; son, Ryan Colbaugh, grandchildren, Natalie and Khaleesi Colbaugh; cherished friends: Dustin Ellis, Chris Tietjen, Mark Harrison, Rusty Poole, Alex Crabtree, and Donnie Lawson.

There will be a memorial service with Donne Lawson officiating to honor Chris’s life at a later date. The burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Meigs County.

Companion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
