Agnes M. Forgey

Agnes M. Forgey, 88, of Pikeville, Tennessee died February 20, 2022 at home with her loving family by her side.

Agnes was a member of Pikeville Church of God. She loved the Lord, her family, and enjoyed serving in her many pastoral wife duties.Some of her hobbies were reading, working crossword puzzles, and watching her game shows.  

Preceding Agnes in death were her parents, Melvin Clarence and Maggie Lee Herron Stevison; son, Byron L. Forgey; sister, Patsy Joyce Stevison; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Ann Forgey.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 67 years, LeRoy Forgey; sons, Greg (Annette) Forgey, Ooltewah, Derek (Lesia) Forgey, Pikeville, Steve (Shelly) Forgey, Cookeville; brother, Larry (Joyce) Stevison, Richmond, Indiana; sister, Sylvia “Fern” Jones, Auburndale, Florida; grandchildren, Melanie Johnson, Adam (Lauren) Forgey, Faith Forgey, Lea (Matt) Heard, Danielle (Charlie) Barrett, Stephanie (Joseph) Doster, Amy (Grant) Mason, Joshua (Chelsey) Forgey; great-grandchildren, Jarrett Johnson, Melea Johnson, Graham and Greyson Forgey, Mila Heard, Audrey and Harrison Doster, Jackson, Judah, and Luke Forgey, James and Beth Ann Mason; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, at Pikeville Church of God with Bro. Ronny Colvard officiating. Burial was in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Adam Forgey, Joshua Forgey, Jarrett Johnson, Matthew Heard, Grant Mason, Joseph Doster, and Charlie Barrett.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Pikeville Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
