Billy Ray Lee, Sr.

Billy Ray Lee, Sr., 86, of Pikeville, Tennessee died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side.

Billy served in the United States Air Force four years, and worked as Lieutenant for Sanford Florida Fire Department for 2` years. He was a member of Walden Ridge Baptist Church, enjoyed all forms of woodworking, especially building houses, and liked to fish, watch NASCAR, race cars, and was a big Alabama football fan.

Preceding Billy in death were his parents, Harley Harvis and Walsie Mae Carden Lee; brother, J. Foy “Bobby” Lee; sister, Helen Faye Kelly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Ann Ledford Lee; son, Billy (Christina) Lee, Jr.; daughters, Teresa (Dale Griffin) Lee Hamlin, Elizabeth Ledford (Marcel) Tart; sister, Joyce Shupp; grandchildren, Justin (Hanna) Hamlin, Harley (Hayley) Lee, Billy Lee, III, Robert “Bobby” Lee, Shauna (Robbie) Chambers, Trevor (Nichole) Tart; great-grandchildren, Evie, Crayton and Logan Hamlin, Kaden Lee Knudsen, Deaglan and Berkeley Tart; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 15, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Prior and Bro. Mark Harwood officiating. Burial was in Rigsby Cemetery.
