Schools’ report card leaves room for improvement

The latest report card from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) for Bledsoe County Schools shows much room for improvement. The data was discussed by the Board of Education, Supervisor of Instruction Farrah Fields, and Director of Schools Selina Sparkman at a Board work session recently.

“We want to make sure you know exactly where we are academically, because we have a lot of work to do,” Director Sparkman said at the meeting. “We all want to talk about athletics and our facilities and we want to have the best facilities around and we want our teams to win. At the end of the day, our jobs here are to make sure our students are educated and can go off and get a good paying job.”
