Business eyeing location in Pikeville city limits

A new company is eyeing a piece of property in Pikeville near the U.S. 127 bypass and Cumberland Avenue, officials discussed at the City of Pikeville’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen regular meeting on Tuesday, October 12.

Realtor George Hamilton spoke to the city council regarding his client Gregg and Becky Ridley’s property on Railroad Street and Cumberland Avenue, minus a corner portion owned by Richard Brown. Hamilton said two brothers were looking to put a business on Ridley’s property, possibly a restaurant, and were asking the City if they were interested in selling or allowing them to use a property they own across the street between Railroad Street and the bypass for parking and possibly a sign.
