Ruby May Songer

Ruby May Songer, 93, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at her home.

She was a member of Brockdell Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Songer; son, Henry Songer; daughter, Helen Songer; grandsons, James and Steven Songer; great-granddaughter, Natashia Smith; great-grandson, Korbyn Songer; parents, Clarance and Annie May; step-parents, John and Delphia Savage; brothers, Robert May, Albert, Edd and S.T. Savage; sister, Velma Bowman; son-in-law, George Smith; and daughter-in-law, Rose Songer.

She is survived by her son, Robert Songer; daughters, Barbara Daschke and Linda Smith, all of Pikeville; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice Deboer of Chattanooga; Lucille (Teddy) Smith of Pikeville; brother, Dewey May; and sister-in-law, Gerta May of Spencer.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her nieces, Allene Songer and Shirley Dykes.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 16, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Rainey-Dill Cemetery.
