Jimmy Wayne Hale

Jimmie Wayne Hale, 78, of Pikeville, Tennessee died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Jim served in the United States Army for 12 years and was a mechanic with the Detroit Fire Department for 20 years. He was of the Church of God faith, loved spending time with his boys, grandkids, and going out to eat with his wife. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on lawn mowers and mechanical work on trucks.

Preceding Jim in death were his parents, Charlie and Lois Fields Hale, brothers, Landon, Charles, and Roger Hale; sister, Rita Hale.

Jim will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia “Sam” Limes Hale; sons, James (Kim) Hale, Michigan, Michael (Angie) Hale, Michigan, Ryan (Amanda) Dorsey, Knoxville, Brad (Jennifer) Hale, Pikeville, Alan (Jessica) Hale, Crossville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Smith, Crossville, Carolyn Pettit, Pikeville, and Charlene West, Pikeville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in McDowell Cemetery.
