Bledsoe Schools closed rest of week due to COVID
Bledsoe County Schools will remain closed Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27 due to high COVID cases among students and staff, according to Director of Schools James Ellis. School was already cancelled Monday through Wednesday due to illness within the system.
Ellis noted 76 students and staff were tested for COVID on Wednesday at the school system’s COVID testing site at BCHS and of 76 tests, 30 were positive. On Monday, 50 were tested with 20 tests positive. He added the first week of school there were 45 positive student cases and 7 employee cases.
