New COVID death reported locally, cases highest since January
Another Bledsoe County resident has died from COVID-19, according to data released Friday, August 6 from the Tennessee Department of Health. This brings the total deaths in the county to 13, with one of those being an inmate at Bledsoe County Correctional Complex (BCCX).
The new data also shows active cases of the virus in Bledsoe at 99, the highest number of active cases in the county at one time since January 17. A total of 12 of those cases are among inmates at BCCX, according to the latest data from the Tennessee Department of Correction.
Data released Monday is reflective of cases through, Sunday, August 8.
