Nursing home visitation halted after employee contracts COVID-19
Bledsoe County Nursing Home halted visitation Wednesday afternoon, July 21, after an employee tested positive at a doctor’s office, according to Administrator Daniel Brown.
Brown said the employee had not been in the facility for two days prior to testing positive, and the facility’s medical director made the decision to halt visitation temporarily. He added employees and residents have all been tested and will be tested approximately every 72 hours.
No additional employees or any residents have tested positive as of Thursday afternoon. He said he expected visitation to resume in 14 days.
