COVID-19: One new death reported, positive cases rising
One new death among a Bledsoe County resident attributed to COVID-19 was reported by the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) on Tuesday, July 20. Along with the new death, the number of active cases was 18 on Monday, the highest levels since late May.
Tennessee Department of Correction spokesman Robert Reburn said Bledsoe County Correctional Complex had six active cases among the inmate population as of Tuesday, July 20.
Active cases dropped to one from early to mid-June before beginning an upward trend toward the end of June and into July.
