Lonnie Dean Dunn
Lonnie Dean Dunn, 74, died early Thursday morning, May 27, 2021, at his home in Dayton, Tennessee.
He was born in Bledsoe County on December 25, 1946, to the late Rev. Elige Dunn and Mary Ruth (Thurman) Dunn.
He lived in Dayton his entire life and was retired from the shipping department of Robinson Manufacturing Company. He played the guitar and sang gospel music, and was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church in Ten Mile.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia (Bishop) Dunn; his two daughters, Kim (Kris) Brown and Robin (Charlie) Wright; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his three sisters, Velma (Carroll) Henderson, Martha Rothwell, and Bonnie Smith, all of Dayton.
Funeral services for Lonnie were held on Saturday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Von Dunn, Rev. Rick Kirkland, and Rev. George Maddox officiating. He was laid to rest at Spence Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
