First number one hit as a songwriter

Anna Moon, a Nashville-based singer and songwriter with a slew of connections to Pikeville, had her first number one song on the Billboard County Charts this month as a songwriter for a song called “Good Time” she co-wrote with her husband, Niko Moon. His performance of the song has gone Platinum, a first for him too.

“I have special roots to Pikeville,” she said. “It’s such a shame the past year we haven’t been able to visit.”

Anna is the daughter of Dr. Greg Harwood of Pikeville and Judy (Warden) Fields, formerly of Pikeville, and grew up in Atlanta, but remembers spending lots of time visiting grandparents and other family members in Pikeville throughout her childhood.
