Aileen Hale

Aileen Smith Hale, 79, of Pikeville, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

She and her husband, J. E., loved playing music and singing. They had a band named Master’s Quartet where they would go to different churches spreading the gospel with their music and singing. Aileen attended Mt. Crest Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She also loved gardening, helping her husband on the family farm, and providing for her family.

Preceding her in death were her husband, J. E. Hale; parents, Litton and Duel Hankins Smith; brothers, Clarence, Nelson, Marvin, and Robert Smith; sisters, Virginia Nole, Ida Lee Thomas, twin sister, Evelyn Smith; great-granddaughter, Lydia Ann Marie Hale.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children that adored her, Donathan (Michelle) Hale, Barbara (Glenn) Stewart, Jonathan Hale; grandchildren, Brandon and Tanner Hale, Sarah (Matt) Brown, Kelby (Josh) Burgess, Eric Hale; great-grandchildren, Wendy, Jordan and Hayden Hale, Hylie, Barrett, and Luke Burgess; special family, Ina Pearl Smith, Lewis (Kathey) Hale, Dortha Burgess Grisham; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends that she loved very much.

A celebration of life was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Delbert Raines, Bro. Ken Norris, Bro. Wayne Sullivan, and Bro. Darvin Oakes officiating. Burial followed in Seals Cemetery.
